More About Coach Madison

I graduated from the University of Michigan on a lacrosse scholarship in May 2019. Over the summers I coached and mentored a group of girls and boys between the ages of 7 and up from different schools. I helped coach their games and individually as players. I was able to meet a great group of kids who loved the sport as much as myself. The best part was helping them out and showing them the way of improving as athletes because they were so eager to learn which only made it more exciting. I would love to continue coaching players and showing them the ropes of the game at a more skilled and serious level, while also having fun doing it. Overall the experience is amazing: not only are you helping yourself, but also kids who look up to you.

I played at the collegiate level at one of the best academic and athletic levels, the University of Michigan. During my freshman and sophomore year, the lacrosse program was not excelling, we were not ranked at the time. By my junior year, we had a whole new coaching staff, and ended up being ranked top 10 in Division One Women's Lacrosse. I was named Defensive MVP, Unanimous All Big Ten, and was able to play in the Senior game. The senior game consisted of the best players of Division One Lacrosse coming together and competed against one another to show our top skills. Only two seniors from my team were picked. I travelled to Maryland and was able to meet, compete, and play with players from all different teams in the senior game. Not only was I showing off my talent, but I was experiencing new players that I never played against. If any player is invited to the senior game, I would highly suggest it because you only get the chance to do it once.

Clients can expect to improve every time they train with me. As a defensive midfielder, I will work with girls and teach them how to truly become a better midfield defender especially if they want to play at the collegiate level or a higher level. I will show them the steps to get there. I will help them with their footwork, how to protect their sticks, and their body language across the field. I have learned from the best coaches who have won national championships all over the world and I would be glad to carry that on to players I will be working with. It will be a challenge, but I am here for improvement and for those who want to play at the next level. Not only will we work hard but will also have fun doing it.

Client Reviews

Coach Madison is extremely patient and thorough when explaining technical aspects of the game. My oldest son, currently 9yrs old, has had a dramatic improvement in catching, passing and cradling since Coach Madison has started working with him. My 6yr old, occasionally joins the sessions when he isn’t busy finding “treasure” in the gravel. She openly welcomes his presence into the sessions which encourages his appetite for the game.

We are glad to have found Coach Madison and look forward to continued sessions.
