More About Coach M'Lynn

At sixteen years old I hit my highest weigh in at 245 pounds, and decided to make a change. I slowly made healthier, and fun choices, with alternatives to drop me down to over 100 pounds in weight loss. Since then the excitement of fitness hasn’t stopped there. I also decided to compete in bikini bodybuilding shows, Spartan/Go Ruck events, obstacle course races, and found crossfit and cycling as my go to hobby outside of these challenges. My experience in the fitness industry has not only been with earning a diploma in Personal Training, but my interest in living a healthy, and physical lifestyle has started since I was sixteen. I have earned certifications, and have expanded my knowledge with Harvard University, and other colleges with Cognitive Fitness, Back Pain, Controlling Your Blood Pressure, Managing Your Cholesterol, and Lifestyle Medicine Fundamentals. I currently provide in home training, online coaching, and provide workout programs for all of my clients from school age to seniors.

In the bodybuilding shows I have competed in the past, I have placed first for transformation. Continued then to do running events, and get coached by Chris Hinshaw into continuing my education through CrossFit. I also was placed first in the four hour endurance race with the Spartan’s Hurricane Heat.

I start off with stretching, and mobility work focusing on the back, hips, and ankles. Posture is really important to analyze before working through HIIT movements, and weight lifting. Therefore we first practice with resistance work to see what touches their limits before moving onto the next level. Ending with sessions, I ask what they would like to see more of, and how their mental accomplishments are going as well as their physical goals!
