I have been coaching basketball since 1982 and was a member of the Division III Yeshiva University Macabbes from 1980-1982. I played at the college level for 2 years, was trained and coached by Red Sarachek, John Halpert, Stuart Polaner and Irving Bader all drafted to NBA teams and all possess outstanding basketball coaching minds.
The Basketball Program at Yeshiva focused on building a team with morals, ethics and high standards in the classroom. Basketball was taught as a game played with strategy and to use your head to outplay the other physically superior opponents. The spirit of the program was never about winning at all cost; it was about team work and pulling for one another to reach team goals.
Basketball was a means of getting students involved in a sport that generates team spirit and gives young players pride and confidence to perform better in the classroom. I look forward to joining the Yorkville team and bring positive basketball energy to the program.

• Teach high level training drills, and practice proper technique on offense and defense
• Work individually with each player to help them develop in the parts of their game that need work
o Teach point guard offensive sets running multiple plays from the point position
o Teach low post moves and big man techniques

o Man to man defense
• Train players using:
o Dribbling drills, passing Drills, rebounding drills, teaching proper footwork & court awareness
• Implement an Exercise Program for fitness training
