More About Coach Liza
I have primarily coached at the collegiate level, serving as an assistant coach at two different top Division III programs — previously at Amherst College and will start at Montclair State University in fall 2026. I also have experience coaching high-level high school and college players in the semi-professional USL W-League, and younger players at the club level. I currently have a US Soccer D License.
I played college soccer at Amherst College, a top-10 Division III program, where I won three straight NESCAC Championships and made trips to the NCAA Sweet 16 and Elite Eight. I played in 60 games as a forward, scoring 12 goals and ranking third in program history for career assists. During my time there, I was a named a two-time CSC Academic All-District and four-time Academic All-Conference selection.
A typical session will vary from player to player! I pride myself on being able to tailor my sessions to work on any skill(s) that a player may want to improve, whether that be shooting, passing, defensive technique, etc. Our first session will always be an evaluation of their play, with the goal of each drill to help me identify the areas of their game that I can help with, and what kind of sessions to plan. That session will include dribbling, passing, and touch drills, as well as some speed and agility exercises and shooting if the field space allows. I aim for every session to be both productive and fun, since that’s what soccer is supposed to be!
