I started coaching tumbling at the age of 12 under the direction of my father Leonard Nickson. Out of high school I became one of the leading tumbling coaches at Twist and Shout Tulsa. After my 2 years here I began freelance coaching at over 5 gyms in the greater Tulsa area. During this time I also coached dozens of high school cheer teams in their tumbling. As of now I have opened up my own private tumbling facility, where all we do is focus on tumbling and building strength for cheerleaders. I work with basic elementary students all the way up to collegiate level tumblers. Since my father is also a tumbling coach I Started tumbling before I could walk, I reached the highest level of "cheer tumbling" being able to do double fulls and basically any specialty pass you can imagine. In 2012 I competed on a level 6 open team and was the only athlete in the entire competition who did a standing double full. My passion for tumbling at such a young age is what lead me to love teaching it as much I love doing it!

I named my tumbling program "Tumble Smart" for a reason. When you don't understand something, naturally you're scared of it. This is what happens with most tumblers. They develop mental blocks or can't quite seem to land a skill because of fear. Most coaches will say general things like "jump harder" "pull" drive your toes" but 90% of the time the athlete doesn't know HOW to do these things. I will help them to understand HOW to do these things and control their skills in a way that will eliminate fear, break plateaus, get past mental blocks and excel in their tumbling.
