More About Coach Lacey
I Am a Stetson University Alum. My credentials include a Bachelor's of Business Administration of Sports Management Nutrition and Wellness. In addition to this, I am a USASF (U.S. All-Star Federation) Licensed Cheerleading Coach for levels 1-3 (Soon to be lvl 4). I have coached competitive All-star Cheerleading now for 2 seasons, having worked with youth aging from 3yrs to 18yrs old. In my career I have advance athletes who've never cheered before to becoming level 2 and 3 athletes in one season. In addition to coaching, I have experience Judging competitive cheer as well as middle school and high school cheer Tryouts. I am also CPR, First Aid and AED Certified for infant, child, and adult.
I've cheered competitively since the young age of 4yrs. All the way up until my Sophomore year in College. I competed in both Cheer and HipHop. The teams that I have been Associated with have been O.S.C.A.R Rebels, Tri-County Elite All-Stars, Ultimate Cheer and Dance All-Stars, and Stetson University Cheer and Stunt Team. In addition to my time as a.competitive cheerleader, I've worked as Camp counselor to youth teaching cheer and dance choreography from when.i was age 16-21yrs.
Typically, the athlete would do a warm-up exercise after which he/she would stretch and engage in some strength and conditioning exercises. Afterwards I, the instructor woul conduct an evaluation of the athletes skills so to determine where the athletes skills range. Basically, establishing a starting point so to determine which drills, etc. are necessary for the athletes proper progression as Skill Progression in the Sport of Cheerleading is very dependent on the athletes skill level.
