More About Coach Kyle

I have been coaching baseball for the past 5 years in both Arizona and Colorado. I was an assistant coach for my high school summer team while I was still in college helping mainly with the pitchers. After graduating from college in 2013 I began coaching a competitive travel team in Colorado. I was the head coach for a 12 year old team that was able to participate in Cooperstown, NY. The following year I was an assistant for a 14 year old team that was very successful in tournaments all across the country. The last two years I have given personal lessons in hitting as well as pitching to help the players further develop and succeed in the game.

I have been playing baseball since I could walk and I have had a passion for the game my entire life. I played my college ball at Colorado Christian University where I played shortstop for one season and pitched all four. During my time at CCU I was named to RMAC All- Academic team 3 times and was a team captain my senior season. After college I began a job in Denver and realized that I still wanted to pursue my baseball career further. In the summer of 2015 I was given the opportunity to play overseas for a team in Bulgaria. There I was able to pitch in a European qualification tournament as well as for the team during their season. It was an unbelievable experience and it would not have been possible without baseball being in my life.

Individual lessons normally last an hour so that the athlete can get properly warmed up before we start training and still have enough time to get work in. For a pitching lesson after getting warmed up the athlete will do some drills to help re-enforce whatever we are working on that day. For example the towel drill if they are having trouble getting extension or the bucket drill if they are not using their back side when pitching. Then we would have them throw and I would give pointers along the way. Then to close the athlete would do some shoulder exercises to finish up and cool down. Hitting and fielding would work much the same way.
