More About Coach Kyle
After I played really well in college and scored 75 points in 2022, I started coaching. It's been three years since I began coaching kids from 6 to 18, even the varsity high school teams. I've learned a lot about teaching the game to different ages. My time playing helped me understand how to help kids get better. I use fun ways to teach them. I want them to enjoy playing and learn at the same time. I help them grow as players and people. I love lacrosse and want to share that love with them. Coaching is important to me because I get to do what I do best and give back through my favorite activity. I hope they keep playing and loving lacrosse like I do.
In 2019, I joined the top 10 NCAA DIII Roanoke team as an attackman. After that, I went to Florida Atlantic University (FAU), where I played lacrosse. In 2022, I got the Offensive Player of The Year award. I helped FAU get to its first conference championship game and national tournament. During my time there, I played 30 games and scored 150 points. I was really good at helping my teammates score goals and scoring goals myself. When I finished playing, I was the best in FAU history! I had the most assists, goals, and points ever. It was an amazing feeling to know I helped my team so much. I did my part and will always be remembered at FAU for my hard work and skill on the field.
The same equipment I used on my way to the top of my college game will be used. This includes a weighted shaft, lighter ball, and 4x4 indoor goal. Before I get into the session plan, I want to first say each session will vary from player to player. I focus on teaching through fun games and a library of drills so if a player does not find something fun or wants to work on something else I accommodate. A typical session will include a quick dynamic warmup focusing on athletic ability and injury prevention. We will then move into my straight line throwing technique (what I’m known best for) in a partner passing style and progress into full shooting drills. We will continue with dodging drills learning how, when, and why to dodge. We will finish with combining shooting with dodging with position and player specific drills.

Kyle was an instrumental part of our offense who was able to create opportunities for the whole team through his dodging abilities and great vision. In addition to being a leader with his play, Kyle is one of the unquestioned emotional leaders of the team. Hats off to Kyle for his performance.” Florida Atlantic Head Coach Stavros
