More About Coach Kousei

I coached at Biola University (NCAA D2), La Miranda High School, and AYSO Laguna Niguel (U4-U14). I have experience in all ages and all levels. I enjoy coaching players that are eager to get better and want to learn from other coaches. I want to share my experience of soccer to the younger generation.

Played at Biola University (NCAA D2), Semi Professional team Southern California Seahorses for 6 seasons (League 2). All conference team at college for all 4 years. I played and started all games for 4 years. Captain for Biola as a senior, junior, and half the season of sophomore year. Also captain for the Seahorses (League 2) for 2 years.

I focus on touches of the ball a lot. The fundamental of soccer is touches. Will do a lot of passing drills also. I will always incorporate ball touches and passing in my session. Based on the experience of the player and the position of the player, I will adapt the second half of the session.

This summer we decided to work with Coach Kousei for 6 sessions instead of a summer camp. Coach Kousei began with a thorough evaluation of the fundamentals and then moved on to focus in the requested areas. We had really good takeaways after each session and we could really see how it translated to our goals of better 1v1s and finishing. Coach was excellent at explaining and demonstrating technique in a challenging, but in a kid friendly style. Coach Kousei is highly recommended!
