More About Coach Kiran

I have a variety of experience from my 7+ years of coaching since competing in D1 college athletics. In my first job I worked with the highest level of players including a few #1 in the world ranked juniors as well as a few current top WTA pros (Ons Jabeur #39 in the world). Since then I have moved in to building one of the most competitive academy environments in NYC. I work mostly with high level juniors under 18, but I also hit with many of the upper management gentlemen in billion dollar companies. My high level of playing ability allows them to get their money’s worth.

Won New York State doubles championship.
Number 18 recruiting class in NCAA D1 Tennis for my recruiting year.
Competed at top 75 D1 university UNCG

The first lesson is typical just to feel out a players game in 1 hour. The first session usually I try to establish a great rhythm and introduce my clients to the addictive feeling of thumping the ball back and forth. After establishing where their strengths and weaknesses are I will continue to fix technique in all proceeding lessons. I adhere to the training strategy of a “flow state”. The principle idea is that if the lesson is too easy, the athlete (adult or child) will become bored, and if it’s too hard they will be nervous. The key is to work the player out at just the right difficulty level - I give my clients an incredible workout regardless of what level they are. I often leave them drenched in sweat, but usually they do not want to stop when our time ends.

Coach Kiran was great with all three kids that he coached at my house, ranging in age from 6 to 12. Would hire him again in a heartbeat.
