I am a former LSU Cheerleader. I cheered at LSU from 2006-2009. During my time at LSU, I coached a high school competition squad and did various cheerleading clinics. Clinics were for both beginners and girls trying out for college teams. I have helped numerous cheerleaders tryout for their All Star and High School teams and have a high success rate. I also have 2 years experience teaching tumbling and gymnastics. What I like to do in a training session is to ask the athlete to perform very basic cheer motions, jumps, tumbling, etc. so I can see where the athlete needs the greatest instruction. I like to focus on motion techniques and overall appearance (spirit, crowd involvement, etc.). This is where I believe a cheerleader has the most difficult. Almost anyone can be taught to stunt and tumble, but you must be able to lead a crowd. I look forward to speaking with you about any questions or concerns you may have.
