More About Coach Khalid

I’ve coached athletes at every level except the professional ranks, gaining valuable experience across youth, high school, and collegiate levels. I completed my internship with the University of Texas at Arlington athletics program, where I worked closely with Division I athletes and learned from experienced coaches in a high-performance environment. I’ve trained athletes of all ages, from young beginners just learning proper form to competitive sprinters looking to fine-tune their mechanics and improve speed. My approach is adaptable, allowing me to meet athletes where they are and help them progress effectively. Whether it’s speed training, technique correction, or overall athletic development, I bring knowledge, energy, and a results-driven mindset to every session.

I competed at the Division I level for the University of Texas at Arlington, specializing in the 100m and 200m sprints. My personal records are 10.23 seconds in the 100 meters and 20.76 seconds in the 200 meters. During my time at UTA, I earned First Team All-Conference honors and qualified for the NCAA Regionals two years in a row, showcasing consistency and elite performance. Competing in one of the nation’s top collegiate divisions pushed me to continually improve and compete against some of the fastest athletes in the country. My experience at UTA helped me grow both on and off the track, teaching me discipline, resilience, and the importance of teamwork. These accomplishments reflect years of dedication, and I take pride in representing my university at the highest level of collegiate track and field.

In a typical session with me, the first focus is always on sprinting mechanics. We start by breaking down how you run looking at your posture, arm movement, stride, and foot placement. Once we identify what needs improvement, we use specific drills to correct and reinforce proper technique. The goal is to get you running more efficiently, which not only helps prevent injury but also makes it easier to run faster. After fixing the mechanics, we move into speed development. This includes acceleration drills, sprint work, and exercises that build power and explosiveness. Each session is designed to build on the last, helping you improve step by step. By combining proper form with focused speed work, you'll be able to run faster, smoother, and with more confidence.
