More About Coach Kevin
I’ve played soccer at the academy, college (DII), and semi-pro levels, (UPSL, USL2). I’ve coached informally for 2 years, training friends and teammates, and more formally as the head coach for a boys and girls club soccer team in Elkhart, Indiana (Lifeline). There, I led both middle school and high school players, running four practices a week and creating tailored practice plans focused on technical and tactical development reaching the final 2 years in a row.
I’m comfortable working with all age groups up to high school and enjoy customizing sessions to fit each player’s goals and skill level. I hold certifications in CPR, concussion awareness, bloodborne pathogen safety, and youth development upon many others. (Working right now at the Newport Naval Youth Center)
My coaching strengths include motivation, individual attention, high-level game IQ, and encouraging players to grow in both confidence and skill.

A typical session with me lasts 1 to 2 hours and starts with dynamic stretching to prepare the body for training. From there, I tailor the session to each athlete’s individual needs, position, and skill level by observing, communicating, and assessing their strengths and areas for improvement.
I focus on drills and techniques specific to the player’s goals—whether that’s ball control, passing, shooting, or tactical awareness. While I don’t always rely on games, I make sure each drill is purposeful and engaging to keep the athlete focused and improving as well as being creative and open to the needs of the client.
Cool-downs are included when necessary, and I provide encouraging, positive feedback throughout and at the end of every session to motivate players and help them build confidence. I’m committed to creating a supportive environment where athletes feel challenged but also enjoy their time on the field.
