More About Coach Kevin

10 years teaching experience. Started teaching 10 and under tennis, pro junior tennis, and adult classes in Germany for 3 years for the German tennis federation. Assisted players at Tournaments. Personally ranked top 20 as a junior. Personally played professional prize money tournaments. Migrated to the United States at the age of 18. Started teaching at the Ed Perpetua Tennis academy based out of New , Staten Island. Taught clinics and private lessons. Developed players from 10 and under to junior tournament, to D1 college.

Couldn't attend college tennis because I played prize money tournaments. Played professional tournaments in Germany. Won various first place titles as junior player. 5.5-6.0 player.

The three T's of tennis. Technique (your fundamental building blocks), timing (anticipating the ball) touch (how much power to use and what kind of spin)

These are conceptually the broadest and most important aspects of the game of tennis.

Beginners for instance need to create a fundamental foundation. Therefore the technique will be the most important part. Starting with your ground strokes eg. Forehand and backhand and then moving onto all other shots.
After a player learned and developed their most important shots they need to develop them and become consistent. Repetition of various important drills is needed. After that the player has to become independent and start playing.

Tournament players need a great amount of coaching and refinement of their techniques. Here we are focusing more on timing and touch. Consistency is the key and the only way to get it is by establishing timed rhythm.

The next part of the development of a tournament player is the proper touch. In what circumstance do we use the proper shots with the proper speed into the optimal direction in order to win the point.

Lastly there is the strategic part of the game. Playing the right percentages to minimize mistakes and maximize output. When do we switch our risk levels. When do we pay cross court 80 percent of the time compared to 60 percent of the time.

Coach Kevin was a great coach for my 10 year old daughter. One week with coach Kevin and I noticed a huge improvement on her ability to become a great tennis player. Plus Coach Kevin was a great inspiration to my daughter, she now constantly wants to play tennis all day and all night. Thank You Coach K.

Coach Kevin is an excellent instructor. He is able to quickly discern where I needed improvement in my technique and form and setup exercises to work on those areas. In addition, he is also personable, which makes it easier to discuss with him different aspects of my performance and play. I would definitely recommend Coach Kevin to other players.

Coach Kevin has helped me with my skills and supported me during my tournaments
