Kevin Coldwell

I started coaching in High School, when it was time to go to college I chose to pursue training and coaching. Now 8 years in I have players in China and Puerto Rico, as well as multiple collegiate athletes. I run my own Club program in AZ in called APE Basketball Academy, which is one of the fastest growing clubs in the state.

I played for 3 different club teams when growing up! I helped start one of them. I started coaching games in HS by coaching our own summer league games as a player/coach. After High school I pursued coaching and training as opposed to the few colleges I was thinking of playing at.

In all of my sessions we always work on our shot mechanics, fine tuning our shot to be as consistent as possible. I like to simulate game situations so when working on a specific shot or move it feels game like, on top of shooting I do A LOT of ball handling. As a guard myself I make sure that all of my students have a good handle on the ball. Last big thing I focus on, is being on balance. The best players in the world have phenomenal balance, so we should too!
