More About Coach Kendrique

Since starting Coats Performance, we have had experience coaching and training middle school to high school athletes. Additionally, I have coached men's and women's high school track which included state qualifying relay teams and individuals performers. I have also coached a 3 time 400m junior high girls state qualifier who placed in the top 3 all three years.

In addition to track and field experience, I have worked with collegiate athletes on speed development.

Speed is a skill that every athlete should have an understanding of. It’s never too early to learn how to sprint.

I played college football at a small college in Illinois where I was a slot receiver. Due to a major acl injury, my college career was cut short.

Athletes can expect to go through a thorough warmup before we get into training. Through the warmups, Coats Performance likes to include movements that have been shown to decrease injuries, eye hand coordination, and body control which is important for sports.

Coach Kendrique packed a lot in one session and hit all the most important points. I could feel the difference right away. Of course I need to practice and will likely make some improvements but I am sure I will not get it quite right. I look forward to our next session. I am convinced that if I am able to even make a 10% improvement by next session, Coach Kendrique will be able give me some new ways to focus on the trouble areas and get me to be a much better sprinter from session to session.

My son had an awesome first session with Coach Kendrique. I was amazed at how much information he was able to provide to him regarding the long jump in just one hour. Adjustments to his form were made by the end of the session and we could already tell what a difference it was going to make. We will continue training and can't wait to see the results during track season.
