NOTABLES:
- Athlete: Ultra Marathoner - age 59
- Event: The FANS 24 Hour Race - Lake Harriet
- Previous Best before Fitness Training: (age 58) 55 miles, finished last in age group
- After 4 months of Fitness Training: (age 59) 104 miles, first in age group - second overall and only 4 miles behind event winner (age 28).

- Athlete: Tae Kwon Do Competitor - age 18
- Event: U.S. Olympic Team Trials (for Sydney) - Colorado Springs
- Before Fitness Training: nationally ranked #2 behind the U.S. and world Champion. Suffered from a severe hip condition requiring daily therapy to keep the hip usable. We (the athlete and I) designed a Fitness and nutrition program that fit her needs AND wants.
- After 7 months of Fitness Training: she was able to compete and dominate her Olympic Trials matches, getting her into the finals to face the one person ranked above her. Competitive Tae Kwon Do is primarily a kicking sport, on her first charge to score, my client kicked and her hip failed - she could no longer kick with that leg... so she became a one legged wonder, countering and parrying every charge by her opponent, attacked and charged for all three rounds - the only competitor in the whole tournament to force the world champion to all three rounds - and finally lost by one point in the end. An amazing performance, she battled and nearly beat the world champion on one leg! Because of her amazing drive and dedication to her Fitness Program.

- Athlete: Professional Baseball Player, Pitcher - age 29
- Event: Spring Training (weigh in)
- Before Fitness Training: 270 pounds > told to lose 30 pound by spring training (a 3+ month window) or give up $600,000 of his $8,000,000+ salary for the next season.
- After 5 weeks of Fitness Training: he was able to weigh in at 238 pounds and keep his $600,000 > he waited until the last 5 weeks to get rid of the weight, so in the interest of maintaining performance, we could not starve him to lose the weight (and I refuse to use any illegal techniques or short cuts), yet he was never hungry the whole five weeks... tired, in a good way, but not hungry... we utilized the principles of Performance Nutrition and hard (smart) work to get it done.

First session is ALWAYS a Functional Performance Assessment.
Based on your current training phase and the data generated by the assessment, we design a program that best serves your Fitness needs and Wants.

Most sessions comprise of a Warm Up segment followed by the specifically designed training segments scheduled for that day - these sessions could be held in a gym, at a city park or on a sandy beach... highly varied, never boring always different:
"Coach Rhino has been my conditioning coach for over 9 years, I don't think we ever once did the same workout twice..." - Peyton "the Artist" Russell, IKF Champion

Client Reviews

Ken is an inspirational and dedicated coach with a broad background. My initial goal for training with Ken was to improve my upper body strength to enable me to compete at a higher level in cross country ski races. I ended up learning how to be a better all-around athlete in the process. He designed a total body strength training plan for me with nutrition recommendations to build muscle. He adjusted my bike fit allowing me to cycle in a power position which improved my endurance. I took up running and he taught me the proper gait. I can't wait to see the training results this ski season. I feel stronger than I did 10 years ago and that is a great accomplishment! I recommend Ken to anyone looking for expertise in improving their endurance, strength, body mechanics etc. I have found that training with Ken also builds one's positive mental attitude via the goal planning that he works into his programs.
Throughout my professional football career I sought out and had the good fortune of working with some of the best sports performance coaches in the country. I can confidently state that Ken is one of the best coaches that I have worked with. Ken's extensive background in a variety of athletics makes every workout extremely productive and the way he connects with you and your goals is second to none. His knowledge and experience are only second to his passion for helping others achieve their goals.
