More About Coach Kelena
I have been a cheerleader for 16 years. I cheered for peewee, middle school, high school, and collegiate teams. After graduating I have coached for a peewee squad for one year, and local high for two years and now currently coach for a collegiate squad. I also posses AACCA certification. I have coached children 8-21. I have taught and constructed dances, cheers, and stunts.
I started cheering in elementary school. I quickly fell in love with stunting and dance. I have held all positions including base, flyer and spot, However mainly spot. I have held captain status at both the high school and college levels for three years. After graduating I have held coaching positions at pee wee, high and collegiate levels including the most recent at a D III college.
Warm up- ligh jog and stretches
Jumps- including approach and technique
Cheers and chants- focusing on sharpness, motions, and voice control
Dancing and stunting also are an option with the right facility.
