More About Coach Kelby
I have two summers of experience coaching with the Liberal Bee Jays, where I contributed to developing players at a high level of competition. In addition to that, I’ve been providing private baseball lessons for the past three years, working one-on-one to improve players’ skills and understanding of the game. I’ve also spent multiple summers coaching youth baseball teams, focusing on players aged 8 to 12. These roles have helped me build strong communication skills, adaptability, and a deep understanding of how to teach the game effectively to athletes of all ages and skill levels.
I was an All-Big 12 selection and a Gold Glove-winning shortstop at Texas Tech University, before being drafted in the 12th round by the San Francisco Giants in 2011. I made my Major League debut on August 3, 2015. Throughout my MLB career, I was a versatile player, making starts at second base, shortstop, third base, and left field. I bring 10 years of professional baseball experience, including four seasons in the majors as well as international playing experience.
Each session focuses on video analysis, customized to fit the athlete’s individual needs. Drawing on his Major League experience and certifications from Driveline Hitting, Blast Motion, and Rapsodo, he breaks down game and practice footage to provide clear, detailed feedback. Athletes receive tips on improving their mechanics, technique, and overall performance, along with drills and adjustments they can implement right away. His goal is to use his experience and training to help athletes take their game to the next level.
