More About Coach Katie
I have coached ages 5-18 over the past 15 years. I have coached 6A varsity soccer in Virginia and Oregon up to the state tournament. I have coached travel soccer in northern VA for players up through 18 years old and helped several players reach their goal of playing in college. I have years of experience working with offensive players developing their skills in the midfield and attacking third.
I played professional soccer for the Washington Freedom for two years as a forward. I played four years of college soccer at ODU and scored 33 goals with 35 assists leading my college team to the NCAA tournament and a top 25 US ranking. Last year I was inducted into the ODU hall of fame for my soccer career.
I start every session with a warm up and dynamic stretching, then focus on speed and agility drills, then a technical drill to work on ball control, the tactical focus of the session like acting in the final third and finish the session with a fun activity.
