More About Coach Katie
I have experience coaching and training athletes in various settings. For coaching, I have done 6 summers of youth summer camp coaching for 24-7 in Oakland, CA. I have also accepted offers to support private day clinics for organizations like GoldenBootAcademy. I also was asked to coach SDSU kids summer camps and help instruction for their ID camps. On the training side, I have done private 1 on 1 trainings for girls ages 8-13 on and off for the past 3 years.
In high school at Bishop O’Dowd, I was a 4 letter varsity soccer scholar athlete with offensive player of the year, MVP, and conference player of the year awards. I also did mid distance track and cross country, receiving all league award and helping the cross country team to 5th in state. Now, I just finished my 4th season with SDSU’s division one women’s soccer team. The year before, I redshirted due to spinal fusion surgery for severe scoliosis. After this season, I received All-Montain West watchlist and All-Mountain West Second team. I tied for first in assists for the conference and also tied for first in total points on my team with 2 goals and 8 assists.
mobility towards what player needs, Dynamic warmup, CNS warm up involving plyos/reactionary work, good technical warm up, go into game realistic drills based on positions, and then anything the player wants at the end that allows them to explore their creativity. Then end with quality cool down and reflection on session, what to do on their own, and reevaluate goals.
