Coached, trained, and developed youth, high school, college and professional levels. While scouting for professional baseball. I have a true understanding of every level of hitting that few have obtained.

Since 1996 I have owned and operated Barnstormers Baseball. I have coached teams from age 8-14 in AAU, USSSA, and Triple Crown sanctioning bodies. I also coach high school age players who have aspirations of earning college baseball scholarships for Barnstormers Baseball. Since my career began I have helped over 1000 players earn college baseball scholarships.

I began the Barnstormers Baseball program in 1996 with a focus of helping aspiring high school baseball players attain college baseball scholarships. To date we have been successful in helping over 1000 families achieve their goal. While being an owner operator of Barnstormers I have also scouted professionally for 8 teams, currently with the Chicago Cubs. I am praying for a Cubs World Series victory so I can retire from professional baseball with a ring and continuing what I love most; teaching hitting. I am fortunate to be known in the professional baseball world as a highly respected academy owner and hitting coach who prepares players like professional hitters. In my opinion there is no difference in hitters, but many believe and teach we should dumb hitting down for kids or parents. My approach is individual and simple and my style is results.

The New York Mets drafted Karl following his senior year in the spring of 1990. However, together with his family, Karl decided to further his education at Butler County Community College. While at Butler, Karl was recognized on the All-Jayhawk League and All-Region teams in both his Freshman and Sophomore years. As a sophomore, Karl was named to the NJCAA Division I All-American team, hitting .484, third highest batting average in the nation that season. This batting average made him the winner of the Rawlings Big Stick Award.

Graduating from Butler with an Associates Degree in 1992, Karl was selected to play in the prestigious Cape Cod Summer League. He then attended North Carolina State University. In addition to graduating with a Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis on Public Speaking, Karl was a two-year starter, receiving recognition for his play in the Atlantic Coast Conference as well as the NCAA Regional Championship games in both years at Raleigh.

I was also inducted in El Dorado, Kansas Hall of Fame.

I evaluate each player individually accessing how each player communicates, learns, and applies information to the task at hand. After the initial verbal assessment sessions are as follows:

0-5 Minutes - Collect information about what the player knows about the skill we work on.
5-10 Minutes - Watch players to learn about Balance, Athleticism, and Explosion of player
10-15 Minutes - Give player information to help improve their skill
15-30 Minutes - Help player work to feel the task and improvement in the skill.
