More About Coach Kadeem
I have 4 years experience of coaching and training players. I’ve coached players from the age of 10-16 years old. I coach an AAU team called and the Georgia Saints and individually train many young players throughout the city. I’m a certified personal trainer through NASM along with being a basketball trainer. I’ve incorporated proper body mechanics into my basketball skill workouts.
I’ve played at every level of basketball. I attended McEachern High School and had great success in a high level program. I went on to play D1 college basketball at Providence College. Providence College is in the Big East Conference so I competed against the best of the best at the collegiate level. I made multiple All-Conference teams and won the Big East Most-Improved Player award in 2013. We achieved major team success by winning a Big East Championship and competing in the NCAA Tournament. I went on to play pro basketball for 5 years. I spent time in the NBA with the Orlando Magic and their G League team before going to play in Turkey and Poland. My pro basketball experience inspired me to want to teach the game and pass on the knowledge I learned.
Clients can expect a detailed and fun workout. I’m a big believer in having fun while working hard. The session will start with a warmup that focuses on activating every muscle group and focus on balance and stability. Next, I start with ball handling to allow the player to get a feel for the ball and continue to warm up. After ball handling I like to incorporate that into off the dribble shooting. I like to start close to the basket then gradually extend to the perimeter. Game like scenarios are the main focus of my sessions. I like to teach movements that translate to game situations (i.e. ball-screens, finishing through contact, attacking angles etc), prepping players for gameplay. The final part of my session includes some type of competitive shooting to simulate pressurized game situations.
