More About Coach Kacie
I am a former college basketball player and worked as a High School coach/Teacher for 4 years. I also coached AAU summer ball all ages/genders for 6 years with an elite group of female athletes who are attending colleges like Texas Tech, Baylor, TCU, SMU, and more. I also have experience as a personal training for 3+ years where I worked with individuals to obtain their fitness goals by providing extensive work out programs and nutritional guidance/programs. With this, I have worked as a strength and conditioning coach/Sport Performance Specialist for 4 years--working with groups of athletes and individuals to improve specific skills (vertical, speed, agility, explosiveness/power, endurance). I am currently a Head JV coach and Varsity assistant girls basketball coach at a 5a high school.
I have played basketball since I was 3 years old--I became a 4 year starter in high school on varsity where I was voted District MVP two years in a row, Defensive Player of the Year along with Academic All-District for 4 years. I went on to play basketball at the Division II level at TWU and from there, I played over seasons for two summers with AIA (Athletes in Action). My love for basketball has never faded--as I dedicate my time in training those who have the same goals as I did when I was playing.
A session will be an hour long--we can do group or individual sessions--I will put the athlete through a set of fundamental drills (i.e., ball handling, shooting, etc.) then we will work on more position specific work, and talk about what the athlete wants to improve individually. From there I will make a specific plan for the athlete to get them on the right path to obtain and successful exceed their goals.
