Recently just passed PGA pat (Playing ability test) and now have become PGA Apprentice. I have been giving private golf lessons in Charlotte for the past couple of years. My style of teaching is based off everything I have learned acumalitive through reading, researching, playing and watching with/from professional athletes. My methods have had a high success rate. I have yet to take a(n) student on that did not learn and make drastic improvements in their game.

I enjoy working with players of all ages and levels, but I especially enjoy the challenge of teaching beginners, because with them I can make the biggest difference in the untold story of their game. It's like we are writing the first chapter of a book together. I just find that exciting. My area of expertise is short game and the mental game of the sport.

I start my sessions with a detailed an involved communication with the student about what we are going to be learning. I believe there is nothing worse than paying somebody to watch you hit golf balls for half the lesson. The student can hit as many balls as they would like on their own time. Thusly I am very involved in my sessions and it is prudent that the instructee is learning but more importantly understanding what is being taught. The majority of my drills you can do without going to the range of even a golf club. I strive to equip my students with every option to improve as fast as the amount of work they wish to put in.

My lessons are very vocal. On the physical side of their game, I want my students to understand what they're swing is lacking & how to fix it. I want them to feel educated. I always give my students homework. On the mental side we work on mental toughness, how to manage a course and not let the course manage you & how to think your way to two shots instead of three. Every student I've taught (shooting over 97 consistently) has dropped to lower 90's and breaking 90 with just a couple of lessons. It is a bold statement but it is the truth.
