More About Coach Justin
Thank you for your interest in my training services!!
I am biomechanical and performance specialist who coaches human movement and athletic performance in pitchers. With the epidemic of injuries occurring in players, my programs make all aware of the importance of the kinetic chain in the body and the understanding of its movements as well as maintaining a healthy career.
After my career was over I decided it was best for me to instill the values and life skills to the next generation by becoming a coach. Yes, baseball is fun, but I realize inspiring values of hard work, teamwork and respect are much more important than the game. Teaching life through baseball is held in high regards in all of my programs. The main goal we follow is to help players reach their maximum potential on and off the field, but also to provide them an opportunity to play at the highest level possible. Seeing kids grow and achieve their own success is the brightest moments a coach can ask for. I have over 30 years and counting, of playing and coaching experience of EVERY level.
I was born and raised in Rockland County New York. I went to North Rockland High School. During my senior year playing baseball, I was awarded Section Pitcher of the Year and was ranked one of the top 5 pitchers in New York State while compiling an 8-1 record with an era of 0.88. Those numbers ranked me as one of the top Left Handed pitchers in New York High Schools. My biggest honor was when I was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in 2000, but opted to play at Oklahoma State. I went on to play several years in professional baseball for teams such as Seattle (MLB), Rockland (Can-Am), and San Diego (GBL). Since retiring from professional baseball, I pursued my goal of teaching kids from Little League to Professionals. I love baseball and have a passion to teach the game the right way. I focus on skill development with an eye on the future — in baseball and life
Appropriate pitching mechanics are critical for both the success and health of a baseball pitcher at any level. Poor mechanics can lead to increased stress on the elbow or shoulder, increasing the risk of serious injury. Studies have shown that proper pitching biomechanics use correct movements and forces of all body parts in an optimal order. This optimal order is known in science as the "kinetic chain"; it is known in sports as "proper coordination." Pitching mechanics can reduce elbow and shoulder stress as well as maximize ball velocity.
My training is designed for pitchers who are committed to improving their foundational movements, performance abilities and overall skills. Pitchers hungry for quality information and consistent repetition on developing specific muscle groups can focus on learning the kinematic sequence and biomechanical movements, key to throwing harder, running faster and preventing injury. The style of programming I use will establish a series of drills, exercises and movements in order to repeat a sustainable throwing motion and movements down the mound for success and preventing injuries on the field. I explain and demonstrate, so that the students leave with an understanding of the concepts and skills necessary to maximize their potential.

Don Collopy (Testimonial)
Justin took my son over the top! My son’s pitched for 4 or 5 years in little league and travel baseball and worked with a number of pitching coaches. He was always told that he had a great arm and was going to be a good pitcher someday. His major problem was throwing strikes on a consistent basis. He’s worked with a bunch of coaches over the years who have all seemed to know a lot about pitching and for the most part all said the same things. Unfortunately none of them could fix his problem of throwing strikes. He’s been working with Justin for about 6 months now and WOW! what a change. Justin’s approach to Jack was different from any other coach he’s had and what a difference it’s made. Jack has been completely transformed as a pitcher and most importantly is throwing strikes. He just started working with my younger son a few months ago and we are already seeing some great results
