More About Coach Josue

I have 17 years of baseball experience where I have played various positions such as middle Infield, catcher & outfield. I've had the pleasure to be an assisting coach at the college level. I am previously coaching a 16 and under travel ball team. As well as coaching, I am currently training athletes of all ages in the Metro Atlanta area ,where I train in batting, hitting, catching, pitching, outfield, infield, and/or physical conditioning.

I played college baseball at Alabama State University 2009-2011, then transferred to Southern Polytechnic State University where I achieved my degree in Electrical Engineering and played my final seasons of college baseball in 2012-2013. In 2014, I was the student assistant coach for Southern Polytechnic State University. Throughout my college baseball season careers I averaged .250 (ASU '10); .400 (ASU '11); .299 (SPSU '12); and .361 (SPSU '13). I also had the privilege to play semi-pro baseball with Rio Grande "Guerrilleros". My accomplishments consist of "Student/Athlete Award" of my senior class at Next Level America Academy (Luquillo, PR.), and "Champion of Character Award 2012- 2013" at SSAC for Southern Polytechnic State University.

The workouts vary according to client demand, focus, wants, needs, section time,and/ or specialty. Nevertheless, the clients are beneficial to proper baseball techniques and conduct with safety. In a nutshell, I start my workout with a warm up section (stretching, jogging, etc.); from there I move to physical conditioning (speed ladder, exercises, agility drills, arm strength, and etc.); next is defense (throwing, ground balls, fly balls, catcher drills, pitcher drills, fundamentals, reinforce techniques, and etc.); afterwards is offense (having a mental plan, hitting drills, tee work, soft toss, front toss, reinforcing of techniques, and etc.); and finishing with the cool down section (cool down drills while talking about skills learned, skills that were corrected and other improvements to be worked on a following lesson). As mentioned earlier, the workouts are client friendly.

Coach Josue was about the business of baseball, and I appreciated that. He worked with my seven year old for an hour and showed himself to be knowledgable, enthusiastic and kid friendly. We're hoping to continue working with him!
UPDATE
After about six sessions, I see measurable improvement in my son's performance. I contacted Coach Josue specifically for defensive help. Well my son's defense has improved. But Josue also helped him improve his swing from his strong side and is even working with him switch hitting. He now swings from his weak side better than I ever would have imagined. Josue is for real!

Coach Josue is extremely knowledgeable about the game of baseball. I am confident that my 9 year old will improve as a baseball player with continued work with Coach Josue. I highly recommend him.

I'm a pitcher and after three sessions I feel like I've made major improvements and I've realized the more I practice the better I get. This whole experience overall was great. Definitely recommend Coach Josue to everyone.
