More About Coach Josh

I began teaching tennis in Australia with Peter Crozier (Network Tennis Academy) who I worked with for 5 years, beginning as an assistant coach and eventually coming to run squads and my own clubs. I later coached for Peter Owen (2011 John Newcombe medalist as Australian Tennis Coach of the year) at the Toptenn Tennis Academy full time. I also took a full time position with the Elsternwick Park Tennis Centre and helped develop it to become named the state of Victoria's 'Most Outstanding Tennis Center' as awarded by Tennis Australia.

My experience teaching in Nth America has led me to coach for Gord Hauka in Vancouver and to assist UCLA head coach Billy Martin (Wimbledon Quarter-Finalist) with summer camp coaching.

Currently I am employed as a club pro at Beverly Hills Tennis.

I represented the Mornington Peninsula region in the Victorian state tennis championships. At age 16 I was the youngest winner of the Sorrento Men's Tennis Club Championships. I represented Bundoora Tennis Club in Victorian State Pennant. I played College tennis for The University of Melbourne and won bronze at the National Championships.

True to the Australian spirit, I like to keep things fun whilst still working hard toward specific goals. I like to provide a healthy cardiovascular workout. I also have a keen technical eye and enjoy pinpointing specific areas where technique can be improved without altering a client's entire playing style. Fun, improvement and a good work out are my primary goals for my students.
