I have recently completed my military duty, in which I served 7 years, 5 of which in the Special Forces. The Special Forces requires you to train foreign persons, and a big portion of this was physical fitness. Working through a language barrier, I trained hundreds of troops with 100% completion of training.
I played football for 4-5 years, so I know the type of fitness it requires, and have many drills I have learned. My experience here is high school and below, so I know the basics need to be emphasized before advanced levels can be reached. I can teach basic running and fitness to be achieved without the need to go into a gym.
Through my military career I have graduated the Special Forces Qualification Course and the Special Forces Combat Diver Course. Both require a massive amount of cardiovascular fitness with the ability to call upon strength at any time for extended periods of time. Normal days required a run and swims, so I know all about endurance.
A normal session will run about an hour, It will start out with a short warm up and stretching. Next will be a run, distance and speed will reflect what goals you wish to achieve.
Examples: can be interval training (less than 1 mile to 2 miles), short fast runs (1-3 miles), long distance (5-10+miles), hill work, trail running, minimalist running techniques.
Following the run, we can work a muscle group, this will be predetermined to meet your needs. Most of my experience deals with body weight, or minimal amount of weight
Examples:
Upper Body- Push ups, pull ups, dips, shoulder press, flys
Core- Sit ups, flutter kicks, v-ups, crunches, planks
Lower Body - Lunges, Air squats, calf presses, wall-sits, burpees
The session will end with an a cool down, appropriate stretching, and a review of what we worked on.
