More About Coach Joseph
I have worked multiple summer kids basketball camps over the years. I have coached and trained kids within those specific camps. I used to work camps at Christian Heritage Academy where I graduated from high school. I typically work with middle school or high school kids, but I have some experience with slightly older and younger kids. I have been doing skill training since high school.
In high school, I was all-city and all-state in basketball. I was also state runner-up my senior year of high school. I played college basketball my freshman year at Redlands community college, and then two years after at Southwestern Christian University. I am also currently playing professionally in Europe and have played on two different teams in the past two seasons.
Before the workout, I like to speak with the client and parents to see what they desire to get out of the training sessions. I like to start simple and build on from that. I prefer to do an assessment the first session and put the client though different ball handling and skill work drills to see what they need to improve on. For younger clients, I prefer to work on all aspects of the game. For older clients, we can focus on more specific areas they need to work on for their position.
