More About Coach Jordan

Hello! My name is Jordan Stout. I strive to help young athletes achieve their dreams athletically, academically, and in life. My passion is to use the great tool of athletics to help teach valuable life lessons and help the athletes improve as children, siblings, friends, students, and athletes. I have a Bachelor's of Science Degree from Milligan College in Exercise Science with a concentration in Sport Management, and minors in Coaching and Business Administration. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram by searching "Stout Skills Training". I have been a volunteer youth basketball coach for the past 5 years. I am a former coaching intern for Daniel Boone High-school, assisting in football and men's/women's basketball. I am a former intern for East Tennessee State University Football Strength & Conditioning. I am also a former program director for the gymnasium at the Boys & Girls Club in Johnson City, TN. I have been training athletes officially for 2 years, and have done countless volunteer sessions over the past 6 years. I have assisted the Men's Basketball coaching staff at Milligan College with open gyms, practices, and recruiting trips. The typical ages I work with are from late elementary/early middle school through college.

DANIEL BOONE HIGH SCHOOL:
-Two-sport Letterman for Basketball and Football
-All-conference football team as a Tight-End/Linebacker
-Honorable mention in Basketball as a Small Forward
-Top 3 in Three-Point Percentage in conference two years in a row
-Varsity Captain for Football and Basketball
-Received Character Scholarship from DBHS Athletic Department

MILLIGAN COLLEGE:
-Basketball Captain 3 years in a row
-Leading Three-Point shooter 3 years in a row
-Received Scholar Athlete award for maintaining above a 3.0 GPA
-Tutor for Exercise Science Department

With each new client I ask them a list of 10 questions before training. These questions are to help me get to know the athlete better and improve my ability to train the client as effectively as possible. Next, I do a basic run down of basketball techniques to emphasize, including shooting form, hand placement, defensive stance, etc. Once the new client is acclimated, we do a series of dynamic stretches. The first drills of each session are at a lighter pace to allow for ample warm-up. I have compiled a growing database of drills to use as we strive towards our goals. These drills are dictated based off the client's skill/age level, and strengths, weaknesses, and goals. I offer team, mixed group, and individual sessions. We end each session with a quote of the day to motivate us towards our goals and relate basketball to real life situations.

Coach Jordan has really stepped up to help my son reach his next level in basketball. His demeanor and true concern for my son's success, has made it easy for my son to fully engage in his basketball sessions. Great Job Coach Jordan!!! I would definitely recommend your services to friends and family.

Jordan Stout’s Skills Training Program has played a pivotal role in helping my child meet her goals as a basketball player. Jordan possesses the knowledge, experience, and skills needed to assist players with improving their overall performance in basketball. Prior to attending Stout’s Skills Training, my child lacked confidence in her strength and ability to thrive as a successful basketball player. Jordan’s training program has increased her confidence, provided her with the necessary supports needed to help ensure her success as an athlete, as well as taken her basketball game to a new level. The combination of Jordan’s good work ethics, passion for the game of basketball, and commitment to helping young basketball players meet or exceed their personal goals, makes his program an invaluable asset for athletes seeking personal growth and development within the fundamental concepts of basketball.
I have been working with Jordan for almost a year now at his training sessions. Jordan's passion for basketball truly shines as he encourages young athletes, and provides game-like scenarios with each drill. Clients return weekly with positive comments from coaches and assistants on how they have improved their game. I highly recommend Jordan for all skill levels and ages, as he strives towards success on the court and in life for every athlete.
