More About Coach Jon
Played NCAA DIII at Crown College. Upon graduation I moved to Columbus where I have been working with the Columbus Crew SC Player Development Coaching staff for a couple of year. I then transitioned to club coaching with Sporting Columbus supporting players from U8-U13 within NPL and ECNL RL.
I spent 2 years on a traveling coaching staff team across Central Thailand visiting schools, community centers, and various soccer Academies and Universities leading soccer camps and competing against University and Academy teams. During this time, I coached kids from ages 5 to 17.
I currently hold a USSF F License and a 4v4, 7v7, 9v9, and 11v11 Grassroots Certificate and working towards my USSF D License.
Recently relocated from Columbus, OH to Willis, TX and I am looking to grow in my soccer career and continue developing the next generation of soccer professionals.
I played NCAA DIII at Crown College, MN before moving to Columbus, OH. Before college I played in Bangkok, Thailand at an International Community School, were we competed with schools all over Southeast Asia.
I focus heavily on technical development. I am a firm believer that in order to play at the highest level we (coaches and players) must train at the highest level. I push players to always put forth 110% and to never be satisfied with being "okay" at anything. I keep my training programs fresh and implement various drills and techniques from the top soccer clubs around the world.
My sessions consist of Phase 1: the Warm-up, Phase 2: the Technical, Phase 3: the Implementation (Moving from learning to executing), and Phase 4: the Bigger Picture (Small sided game/game like pressure).
