• Set up a diamond shape (4 cones)

Objective: Shoot quickly after receiving and turning.
Drill: “Turn & Finish”
• Set up outside box: Player A passes to Player B (with back to goal)
• Player B receives, pivots (inside/outside turn), and shoots
• Rotate players: passer → shooter → retrieve → line
Variations:
• Use a mannequin to simulate defender
• Time pressure: must shoot in 3 seconds after turn
• Encourage weak foot shots occasionally

Objective: Encourage fast decision-making, 1v1 attacking moves, and finishing under pressure.
1v1 Shooting Drill: “Race & Finish”
• 1 goal with goalkeeper (or mini goal if no keeper)
• 2 cones set 10–15 yards from goal, about 10 yards apart
• A supply of balls with the coach or feeder
• Players in two lines behind each cone
Key Coaching Points:
• Passing: Use the correct surface, pace, and direction; eyes up before passing.
• Pivoting: Open hips, scan before receiving, quick footwork to turn.
• Shooting: Accuracy over power, body over the ball, react quickly after turning.
