More About Coach Jonathan

I have 8 years of experience coaching at all levels of play (youth clubs, college, and pro teams). I coached pro goalkeepers from Costa Rica Division I and II. I spent 3 years as the head goalkeeper coach at Southeastern University earning two Conference Championships. I'm the Director of Goalkeeping at Florida Tropics Academy and currently the Director of Pura Vida Goalkeeping Academy which provides private GK sessions and goalkeeping training to local Academies such as Plant City Lancers and Auburndale Scream.

I played professionally for more than 10 years, most of them for Division I and II clubs in Costa Rica such as CS Herediano and Escazu FC before moving to the US to play for Tampa Bay Rowdies in the NPSL. I then moved to play pro indoor soccer with the Florida Tropics in the MASL when I finished my career.

I center my attention on the technical, tactical, and physical aspects of the position simulating real game scenarios through group and individual goalkeeper training to help the GK's achieve their objectives on the collective side.
