More About Coach Jonathan

I’ve coached youth all the way up to high school. I coached both at Valeo FC and Malden Public. I’ve attained my Grassroots coaching license from US Soccer.

I played semi-professionally for Unations FC in Worcester, competing in the UPSL. My journey in soccer followed an unconventional path; rising from high school varsity straight into the semi-professional ranks.

My sessions are centered on building confidence in each player by developing three key areas: Endurance, Ball Handling, and Field Awareness. Each one-hour session is structured into three 20-minute segments focused on:
- Endurance: High-intensity sprints and change-of-direction drills to build stamina and agility.
- Ball Handling: Technical work including dribbling, juggling, and both one-touch and two-touch passing to improve control and precision.
- Field Awareness: Game-realistic scenarios that teach players how to receive the ball under pressure, turn away from defenders, and scan the field while dribbling and moving in their intended direction.
