More About Coach Shay

I have 10 plus years of coaching and playing experience on all levels. I train athletes K-12, every college level, Overseas Pros and NBA and WNBA players as well. I had my own basketball academy PSBA and worked with Tark Basketball Academy and West Coast Basketball as well as Las Vegas Storm (girls program). I also have a relationship with Impact Basketball and Joe Abunassar

After graduating from The University of Nevada-Reno I played professional basketball overseas in countries such as Cyprus for ENDA in 2008 New Zealand For Taranaki in 2009-11, Estonia in 2011 for Tarvas, and the Philippians on an Exhibition tour 2012 and 2013

Intermediate Level Training - This level of training is designed for those with basketball experience. If you have played on a competitive team this is the level for you. During this training we will work on ball handling, passing, shot preparation and a host of other drills needed to compete at a high level. This is an intense workout the focus will be on attention to detail.

We have only done one session with Coach Shay so far, but we were very happy with the first one! It was good to see my daughter be challenged. I could see frustration in her eyes, but I also saw her not give up and push through. I think that once a person is out of their comfort zone, true growth can happen. Coach Shay is a great coach and very attentive to details. Although it was short, my experience with Coach was valuable and helped me greatly as a player. He is a kind person both on and off the court.
