BIOGRAPHY
Joe Winkelsas was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. He was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in 1994. By 1996, Joe
was signed to the Atlanta Braves as an amateur free agent and worked his way through the Braves’ farm system, playing at
every level. He made his major league debut in 1999. He played for the Braves organization through 2003 and then went
on to play for the Chicago White Sox and Milwaukee Brewers. He last pitched professionally in 2009.
Known for his outstanding ability to identify and groom raw talent and gain player’s trust, Joe’s coaching method is
respected by professional ball clubs. He has groomed some of the best talent in baseball, locally, nationally and
internationally. Coaching baseball is like “a three-dimensional chess game” to Joe Winkelsas and, he adds, “ …you can’t
approach every player the same way.” When it comes to baseball domination and victories on and off the field, Joe
Winkelsas has the “Midas Touch”. Known for his toughness, honesty and Dominican style workouts, Joe also has a sense of
humor that is second-to-none, which helps to create a free and relaxed learning atmosphere. Joe’s adamant that “when you
help others, you help yourself” and he’s dedicated to “building character in characters – one pitch at a time.”

RECORD OF TRAVEL TEAM HEAD COACHING STATISTICS

Mechanics are the easy part. Players are individuals. there are set staples when it comes to mechanics, but for the most part your mechanics should suit your body type. We will figure out the best mechanics which produce the greatest arm and exit velocity for you. Ages 5 to 55....

We will go through advanced yoga type stretching techniques. Flexibility produces velocity. You will experience an awesome Power Arm Program/Exit Velocity Building program that is second to none. It consists of various weighted balls, rice buckets, chains, different weighted bands, Decker baseballs, and more... We will master the spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical aspects of our nations greatest pastime. You will workout as a Pitcher, Hitter, Fielder, and Base runner like you never have before.
I guarantee 2-10 mph with your new and improved hitting and/or pitching-throwing mechanics or your money back.
Your backside foot and leg are the clutch. Your front side hip is the accelerator. The back of the shoulder is the brake. Your throwing hand is the tire. Your front side elbow and glove are the oil and transmission. The baseball thrown by your electric arm, striking the catcher’s glove and/or the end or the handle of the bat is equivalent to pulling your Indy car sponsored by mud into the pit stop at Myrtle Beach.
The power of the spoken word is saying the right thing at the right time when the chips are down, resulting in domination on the field. You cannot treat different players the same way. As a baseball psychologist, it is imperative to improvise, motivate, communicate, listen, make adjustments, analyze, recognize, realize and lead by example.
