More About Coach Joe

I have been coaching and training kids since I was in high school. More recently, I have primarily coached at clinics and camps at Duke University as well as run my own. I train players of all positions and have trained 8 athletes who have gone on to play division 1 at schools like Duke, Cornell, Princeton, Harvard, and UVA.

Former attackman at Duke University where I finished 11th in career points (212) and was both an All-American and Academic All-American. I led the team as captain for 2 years and was voted most clutch player of the year 2021. I’m from Salem, VA where I attended St. Anne’s-Belfield and set the state records for goals in a year (100) and goals in a career (222).

Each session is different as I cater to the athletes needs and skill level. I emphasize the fundamentals of shooting, dodging, and feeding. I combine that with unique drills that make the athlete think and promote lacrosse IQ. Fundamentals can be boring, but not with me. I make the every session fun and engaging while teaching the athlete skills that build a strong foundation and grow over time whether I am training them or not.

Client Reviews

(no details provided)

Joe brings all his experience at the top collegiate and pro levels of the game into his preparation for every session and it shows in his execution. Joe’s attention to detail and tailored plan for each training session consistently over-delivers for our elite players, pushing them to raise their skillset, their game IQ and, most importantly, their approach to the game.
In my thirty years of coaching, I have never had a player more committed to not only getting better every day but making his teammates better as well. A true student of the game, he has found ways to elevate his play every year and at every level. Our current players benefit immensely and look forward to the times Joe returns to mentor and coach. Time spent with Joe is guaranteed to give you the tools to boost your game.
