More About Coach Joe

I have my own basketball training program that I founded this last year. This program is called Great Lakes Potential. I created an aau team and have been training athletes as well. I have 4 years of coaching experience along with playing experience at the collegiate and professional levels!!

High school: All Kalamazoo Area team 2012
Played professionally for the Grand Rapids Danger in the ABA. Score a season high of 26 points in the 2016 ABA playoffs against the Muskegon Lakehawks.

Ball handling, shooting, speed/agility, sprint work, conditioning, and defensive work as well!!
Will definitley emphasize that if your shot goes in, no need to change it!! Just continue to practice the same shot over and over and over again!!

Client Reviews

Coach Joe is awesome with my son (13). Good balance of pushing to be better while also enjoying the game. We are signing up for a long string of classes. Very knowledgeable and kind. Great communication.

I have known Joey since 2008. Joey was one of my former players that participated in our summer camps for multiple years. Observing Joey as a teenager, I was able to see his leadership qualities, his confidence, and his determination to become better in whatever he did. Joey was a great scorer but what stuck out was the amount of respect that he displayed on and off the court towards himself and others. Joey was an individual who would come into the gym to practice before camp started and other campers would join with him. I considered him a trend setter. He was willing to show them his own basketball techniques to better those campers and he was not concerned about receiving any acknowledgement for it. I have had the privilege to see Joey transition from a teen to an adult. He has done a remarkable job with developing the youth culture with his mentoring and skills training company. I believe his drive to become better, his determination to achieve, and his willingness to help others will make him excel in whatever he does. I believe Joey will be an asset to anyone’s organization that he is a part of.
