More About Coach Joe

Currently on Varsity Staff at Cranford High School. Have individually trained male and female players from 6th grade, middle school, High School, College and NBA players. Certified with the NJSIAA as a coach, CPR and First Aid Certified, American Interscholastic Coaches (AIC) accredited, National Federation of High School (NFHS) accredited. Conducted numerous clinics for coaches and players regarding offensive scheme that can be implemented from grade school through College.

Implemented offensive and defensive philosophy in first year with Cranford HS which improved record from 6-17 to 15-8. First State tournament appearance since 2003. Division 1 baseball player. Captained West Orange High School Basketball team that appeared in Group 3 State Semi Finals

All sessions are geared towards game situation basketball. The 'what" is the specific skill but it is imperative the athlete know WHY each skill is important and HOW it applies to game situations. Fundamentals of 5, 10 even 20 years ago are still taught today because todays coaches teach what they were taught. I bring training techniques relevant to basketball as it exists TODAY

Client Reviews

There is no one we respect more than Joe Norton when it comes to training and preparing young men (and women) for competitive sports. Not only does he have a wealth of knowledge, but he is kind, considerate, incorporates important life lessons into his training and is able to relate completely with the kids he trains. He has both their attention and their respect.
