I've coached the last 6 years at Lexington Southeastern Cal Ripken League in Lexington, Ky. I've coached 2 State Championship All-Star teams, while also finishing runner-up twice in the Ohio Valley Regionals. I've coached kids between the ages of 7-13. I currently coach for the Kentucky Baseball Club 13yr olds. Kentucky Baseball Club is an elite travel group, who strive to develop young players not only in baseball, but in life as well. We are recognized by Louisville Slugger as 1 of 10 Elite or Premiere groups in the country. We've developed and helped several reach their potential and go on to Major League careers. Ben Revere (Phillies) and Robbi Ross (Rangers) to name a few. Both of these guys played with the Kentucky Baseball Club.

I played my High School baseball at Estill County, in Irvine, Ky. I graduated in 1988 and later played 2 seasons in the Latin American Baseball League, where I competed against several Minor League players. I again, have 2 State Championship trophies and 2 Ohio Valley Regional Runner-Up titles.

We begin all sessions with stretching and getting our bodies loose. We warm up our arms, then typically begin on building on the fundamentals of Baseball. Ground balls, proper fielding techniques, throwing, proper throwing techniques. We then move to a new station, where we work on fly balls, proper technique to catching fly balls and getting ourselves in the proper throwing position. Throwing on a line to your cut off or all the way through to the bag. We teach how to receive a cut off throw, proper body positioning. We then work on hitting with purpose. 6-10 pitches to opposite field, 6-10 to middle, 6-10 to the other gap. We teach proper bunting technique, base running drills, while trying to incorporate many challenges to make it fun.
