More About Coach Jessica

I am an ex-collegiate pitcher who went the Community College route and got a full scholarship to Div 1 Morgan State in 2006. After finishing my degree I became a certified ASA umpire officiating at the recreational and tournament level for 10 years. I have been providing private lessons for pitching and hitting for the last 6 years. Developing a proven track record with sound fundamentals at the lower and intermediate levels as well as developing a strong work ethic, mental strength program and dynamic pitch movement at the upper or advanced levels. I was the Director of Operations at Fullerton College and have previously been the Pitching Coach as well for three glorious seasons but recently have found I do not have time to do both. Coaching at the high school or college level is very time intensive.

In high school I was a two-time All Conference player. Moving to Fullerton College I was a Second Team Conference Player and received a scholarship to further my career at the Division 1 level.

Beginners can expect to learn and improve their basic fundamentals. We work with various drills to increase strength and consistency. Building good fundamentals and correct mechanics are super important to becoming a good pitcher. I have a plethora of drills that can be performed with or without a catcher to ensure that they can work out at home even if mom or dad are unavailable.

Intermediate clients can expect to focus on eliminating bad habits and begin to learn various pitches as well as increase velocity. I like to introduce them to various strength training regimes at this stage in development. Focusing on leg drive and lower half explosion.

Advanced clients can expect to focus on strengthening drills as well as mental imagery and how to apply it in the game. For pitchers we will maximize spin on the ball for pitches to increase movement. Utilizing more strength training drills we can turn a so so pitcher into a formidable force to be reckoned with.

Jessica is awesome! Jessica took my 7 year old who had never pitched to becoming the number one pitcher on her team in no time. In less than a year, my daughter was an All-Star and helped her team win the 8u Southern California state championship. Thanks Jessica!

Coach Jessica is great! She keeps it simple while still being technical in her coaching. My daughter looks forward to her training!

Coach Jessica was a pleasure, she was so observant and really knowledgeable. From a one 30 minute session I can already see a difference in my Daughters pitching. I can't wait to see the result after more sessions.

Excellent coach! She’s thorough, patient, detailed and the one word Sophie described coach Jessica was, encouraging. We scored HUGE. I’d recommend her WITHOUT hesitation

Right out of the gate our daughter's first session with Coach Jessica was great. The initial session offered a great starting point & a game plan how to approach pitching with our 8U daughter. We look forward to working with her & watching the progression of our girl.

Very patient and knowledgeable. My daughter loved it

Coach Jessica was awesome! Very patient, gave direction on things to correct and rewarding when things were done right. My daughter learned valuable drills to do at home and really liked her teaching style. It was a great 1st session and I would highly recommend her.

Have seen results right off the bat. My daughter enjoys her sessions and is learning a lot. Already using what she has learned in live games with better results. Jessica definitely doing a great job

She is amazing. Made my daughter feel comfortable and helped her so much in just one session. Highly recommend her.

She's a great coach with alot of experience.

Great session... very informative and enthusiastic. My daughter had no complaints regarding her teaching methods and showed improvement. Only drawback for me was the drive itself. I'd like to reschedule another session via CU but with someone closer to me.

Jessica is amazing! She really knows her stuff. She not only teaches, she inspires. My daughter is getting better every lesson and loves it! This picture is my favorite (and would not be possible without Jessica). This was her first complete game. We were the home team, she pitched a 1 hitter and her team won 11-1.
Some coaches are okay but Jessica really helped my daughter become more aware of her body and what she needed to be doing at every step of the delivery. Not only did she focus on mechanics but also helped to make her a much stronger athlete with the various drills and stamina exercises she made Lindsey do. I am very thankful for everything Jessica has done to make my daughter a better pitcher!!!!
