More About Coach Jessica
I have my Bachelor of Science degree in Human Performance and Sport with a concentration in Adult Fitness and my minor is in Nutrition. During my last semester of college I began receiving clients through the university. I am most experienced in working with age groups 10-50. My favorite level to teach is beginner level because I very much enjoy teaching my clients new things and seeing them flourish from the ground up. My favorite population is overweight and obese clients. I enjoy teaching them skills and workouts to help them become fit and healthy.
During my time in college I completed 10 half marathons and one full marathon. I recently completed my first 100 mile century bike ride. I have completed numerous 5k runs and 10k runs, enough so that I no longer keep track. My very first half marathon was completed in March of 2011. Once I started I became an addict for the sport of endurance running.
A typical session with me would always start with a dynamic warm-up of at least 5-10 minutes. The work-out itself would last about 40-45 minutes and would vary depending on what the goal of the client is. I am a fan of circuits, so I implement circuit training frequently. The last 5-10 minutes are spent on the cool down, usually static stretching and/or foam rolling.
