Every athlete begins with an evaluation and a conversation about their individual goals. From there, each session is tailored to the athlete’s needs, skill level, and areas of development. My goal is not only to improve an athlete’s physical skills, but also to help them understand why we are working on something and how it will transfer to their sport and game performance.
What do you focus on?
Sessions focus on hitting/catching fundamentals, technique, and consistency. Athletes will learn the terminology I use language of the sport so they can understand adjustments and apply adjustment independently. I also place an emphasis on the mental side of the game, teaching athletes strategies for confidence, focus, handling mistakes, and approaching challenging situations.
What does a session look like?
We typically begin by reviewing the athlete’s goals and warming up. We then move into specific drills designed around the athlete’s individual needs. Throughout the session, I provide feedback and adjustments while explaining what needs to change, why it matters, and how that adjustment will translate to game situations.
As the athlete progresses, drills become more challenging and game-like so they can apply the skills under pressure. We also discuss the mental approach to competition and give athletes practical strategies they can use outside of lessons.

My overall goal is to create an environment where athletes feel challenged, supported, and confident while developing the skills and mindset needed to become better athletes and better competitors. I am passionate about the sport and wanting to inspire the next generation of athletes to love the game and continue developing both on and off the field.

Tim (CoachUp client)
My granddaughter is so excited about working with Jessica. She has her first lesson today and went home to continue practicing on what Jessica recommended and has a new passion for softball. She is so excited to train with her again and throughout her season. Thanks Jessica.
