More About Coach Jeremy
I have coached since undergraduate in 2017 starting with recreational 5-10 year olds in Boulder Colorado, I did this for about 2 years. Then I coached my own club team of u12s for a year. Then I was assistant coach of a high school varsity team for a year in Castle Rock Colorado. Now I am doing a physical therapist who works directly with several athletes on a more sports performance standpoint. I have my EXOS Performance Specialist certification for athlete performance training. I currently do 1:1 private training lessons here in San Diego with u14s right now and looking to expand and get more outreach with coaching.
I played club soccer for a year at CU Boulder. From there, I played in several adult leagues and private leagues with semi-professional players. Now I continue to play with adult leagues for fun. In high school I was 1st team All-State. I also faced many injuries so I was out a lot of the season.
I start with a dynamic warmup where I teach movement competency from my knowledge as a physical therapist. Then I progress into multidirectional speed, plyometrics, and absolute speed training. From there, I move into more sport-specific drills. It's hard to say specific drills because it depends on the athlete and what they want to work on. Primarily, I focus on first touch as I believe that is essential in private sessions to build confidence on the ball.
