More About Coach Jeremy
I’ve been coaching and developing athletes since 2017, starting with youth recreational players in Boulder, Colorado (ages 5–10). From there, I coached my own U12 club team for a season before serving as an assistant coach for a varsity high school program in Castle Rock, Colorado.
Currently, I live in San Diego, where I provide 1-on-1 private training for youth soccer players (currently working with primarily U14 GA athletes, but open to all 11+) focused on building technical skills, speed, and game awareness. My background as a Doctor of Physical Therapy allows me to approach training from both a performance and injury-prevention standpoint, helping players not only improve on the field but also move and recover like athletes at the highest level.
I am also an EXOS Performance Specialist (XPS), a world-class certification in athlete performance training. This means I bring proven methods for speed, agility, conditioning, and strength that complement soccer-specific skill development.
1st Team All-State selection in high school (despite overcoming multiple injuries during my career).
Played club soccer at the University of Colorado Boulder.
Competed in several high-level adult and private leagues with semi-professional players.
Currently continue playing in adult leagues to stay sharp and connected to the game.
1) Dynamic Warm-Up & Movement Prep
I begin with a structured warm-up to teach proper movement patterns, reduce injury risk, and prepare the body for training. I draw on my background as a Doctor of Physical Therapy to ensure athletes learn correct mechanics.
2) Speed & Athletic Development
We progress into multidirectional speed, plyometrics, and absolute speed training to improve agility, explosiveness, and game-changing quickness.
3) Soccer-Specific Drills
Sessions transition into technical work tailored to the player’s needs. A major focus is first touch, as it builds confidence, composure, and sets the foundation for every skill in the game.
4) Game Application & Feedback
Drills are progressed to game-like scenarios, ensuring athletes can transfer what they learn into real match situations. I always close with feedback and actionable takeaways so players understand how to keep improving.
