More About Coach Jenna

I played collegiate basketball and have been in the coaching profession for ten years. I coached at the high school level, the collegiate level in Division I for seven years and I am currently a Division III head coach. I have also trained and coached younger kids at camps and clinics for over 15 years.

I am currently the Head Women's Basketball Coach at Rhode Island College. I just finished my third season. Prior, I was a Division I assistant coach for seven years at Fordham University training top collegiate talent. Over the last twenty years I have coached and trained girls/boys ages 8-23. I have a bachelor's degree in Sport Management and a coaching certification from Endicott College. I received my Master's degree in Educational Leadership; Administration and Supervision from Fordham University.

- 2019-2020 Little East Coach of the Year coming off a 22-5 record this past season.
- In three years, have coached five all conference players including the Rookie of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year
- Gold Medalist at the 2016 World Maccabi Games coaching the Open Team as an Assistant Coach
- 2014 Atlantic 10 Champions at Fordham
- 1 NCAA Tournament

I tailor each training session based on that individual's goals. I always have a focus on fundamentals, but I will train and challenge each athlete differently depending on their needs, goals and performance objectives. Each training session will be worth while, challenging and will produce improvement/results... while also having fun!

Coach Jenna has done a great job helping my daughter with shooting and fundamentals. She has been supportive, and we appreciate her help!

My 13 year old son loved his training with coach Jenna! They had a packed hour working on various skills. He is looking forward to the next one!

We highly recommend Coach Jenna! She was very responsive and easy to communicate with. We asked her to work on specific items with our daughter and she did that plus a lot more. Our daughter thought Coach Jenna was awesome.

Returning to play basketball my senior season for Coach Cosgrove has been nothing short of amazing and an experience that I will never forget. Playing for coach means being challenged to your full potential in everything that you do. She brings out the best and the most in all of her players both on and off the court, and as a player you can’t ask for more in a coach. In just one season, I have grown so much not only as a basketball player, but as a person as well. I only wish to have had more years playing for Coach Cosgrove, however I am appreciative to have ended my career surrounded by such a great staff. Coach Cosgrove and the assistants have taken on a big task of positively changing the culture of the women’s basketball team here at RIC. I am positive that the program has taken a turn in the right direction, and that there will be great success in upcoming seasons.
