More About Coach Jeff
I have been coaching basketball for 5 years. I have coached from the elementary age all the way up to the college level. I have coached AAU teams in Canada and in New York I coached 3 AAU teams, a 4th grade boys team, an 11th grade girls team, and an 11th grade boys team. This past season I was at Harding University High School, where I was a Head JV Boys Basketball Coach and an Assistant Varsity Boys Basketball Coach. Just got a coaching position at Lincoln Charter!
I was fortunate enough to play in high school and then play in college as well as professional. I played D3 Basketball in Brooklyn, NY, and then I played 4 years in Canada. After I graduated with my bachelors degree, I was able to return to my hometown and play for a professional basketball team in the bronx. I was in situations where I didn't play much, but I was always able to change that due to my work ethic and willingness to get better. I truly believe in the quote: "Hard Work Beats Talent When Talent Fails To work Hard."
My first session will be an evaluation session where I will see where the player is at and compare it to where they want to go. For example, If a player wants to become a point guard, then we will focus alot on ball handling, pull up jumpshots and decision making. We will always focus on fundamentals, repetition, going game speed and defense. Workouts will have high intensity and I will push the athlete to be the best player that they can be.

Training with Coach Jeff has been an amazing, fun, and overall fulfilling experience. I initially aimed to improve my jumpshot and confidence in game situations. Though we were able to work on my ball handling and finishing as well. After working with Jeff, I can say confidently say I have made progress on all three fronts. I am able to shoot consistently from the 3/Mid range, bring the ball up the court, finish consistently, and recognize opportunities to score. These are all skills I didn't process before starting training. Drills such as form shooting, simulating game scenarios, and practicing standing lay ups from different spots under the hoop have all been a tremendous help. This was all over a course of 5 weeks and I plan on continuing to train with Coach Jeff and Improve!
