Jeff D.

My name is Jeff Dillihay and I am currently an assistant varsity coach and co head J.V. Coach at Valley Forge Military Academy. This is my first season working with the team and I am very excited about working with the young talent that we have. I also have experience working various basketball camps and clinics. I have worked Philadelphia 76ers basketball camps for the past four years and I have also recently worked hoop group top 100 elite camps as well as training kids in Pittsburgh when I was at Geneva College. Along with coaching at Valley Forge and working these camps I also help train kids from 5th grade to highschool here in king of Prussia. I have experience working with and training kids from ages 5-17 but as of late I typically work with kids ages 10-17. However I have no issues working with kids of all ages.

As far as my playing career goes I played basketball in highschool at Upper Merion Highschool from 2006-2010 and then I was fortunate enough to play collegiately at Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania for two years before I began to focus more on coaching and teaching the game of basketball.

My sessions cover various aspects of the game and are made to simulate game situations as much as possible. I attempt to make practice harder than the game so when the game comes along their skills are second nature. I was a guard when I played so I typically run through a lot of ball handling, shooting, spacing, and footwork drills. I believe every position on the floor needs to be able to have the ability to handle the ball as well as put the ball in the basket so a lot of my skill development sessions deal with offensive fundamental development.
