More About Coach Jeff

I have been involved in basketball as a player, coach, scout, athletic director for over 25 years. I attended Arapahoe High School in Littleton, CO and was a two year starter and received "All State" and honorable mention "All American" honors. After being heavily recruited, I accepted a full-ride scholarship to the College Of Great Falls, MT. After a year at CGF, I then transferred to Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, CO. Following my time at CMU, I had an opportunity to play overseas. As a collegiate and professional player, I Received various awards as well as experienced a multitude of individual and team successes.

Following my playing career, I pursued coaching and was a successful freshman, junior varsity and varsity coach in the Denver Metro area. These schools ranged from 2A, to 4A and 5A classifications. Furthermore, I have experienced a multitude of district, regional and state tournament successes. In addition, many of my former players have received college scholarships in both academics and athletics. In all my years of coaching and playing my win percentage has been 68.2 %.

Currently, I do private coaching with an organization called, "CoachUp." I am also a Head Coach with the Colorado Premier Basketball Club. Colorado Premier is one of only 32 Nike sponsored competitive basketball clubs in the world! In addition, I am a business partner with The Combine Courts, here in Colorado Springs. I am also the Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at Colorado Military Academy. CMA is a co-educational independent charter school for students in the 7th through 12th grades.

I consider myself a "basketball nerd." I love teaching the mechanics as well as the mental preparation it takes to become a successful athlete. In addition, you will not find a more experienced coach who breaks it down to a point where it becomes second nature. I want my players to play, and not think about HOW to play. I take pride in how I equip each player with the needed skills to accomplish individual, team and life success.

As a collegiate and professional player, I Received various awards as well as experienced a multitude of individual and team successes. As a coach, we won multiple league, district and regional championships as well as appeared in multiple state tournaments.

Every session begins with a "proper shot warm-up" (PSW) stretching and light cardio drills. It will continue into an instructional, as well as live play format. If it is shooting, post and perimeter play, or just becoming a better ball handler, or, "Court General," I have interactive and instructional drills that will guarantee my players immediate success both mentally and physically.

I take a very consultative and customized approach to my coaching. Each player is different and I plan, organize and execute each session based on his/her individual needs.

Coach Jeff is great at coaching. If you are not shooting to your potential I'd recommend him because he has very simple techniques that will make you a better shooter. Also if you are having trouble bing an offensive threat he has simple moves that would get you an open shot.

Coach Jeff has been working with my 14 year old daughter and he has been great! He has taken the time to evaluate her to determine what she needs to work on and planned his sessions accordingly. He does effective drills with her during the session and also gives her things to work on at home. I will definitely continue to schedule sessions with Coach Jeff to help get my daughter ready for high school basketball.
