More About Coach Jason
In 1993, started working out players individually to improve their game. I also coached YMCA Youth basketball leagues, inspiring kids by promoting the fundamentals and sportsmanship. In 2013, I started coaching high school basketball at Barack Obama Academy in Pittsburgh.
While at St. Monica Catholic, I earned the accolades of All-Westside, All-CIF, Westside Player of the Year, Hoop Scoop Top 50, and Honorable Mention McDonalds All American. The offensive production increased each year averaging 17 points per game (ppg) as a sophomore, 26 ppg as a junior, and 28 ppg as a senior.
It was John Calipari (now Head Coach of Univ. of Kentucky) who convinced me to join the University of Pittsburgh and a very special recruiting class. Alongside Darelle Porter, Bobby Martin, Sean Miller (now Head Coach of Univ. of Arizona), and Brian Shorter; these freshmen went on to be named one of the all-time Top 5 Recruiting Classes in NCAA history. I held NCAA, Pitt, and Big East records for 3 point field goal percentage and free throw percentage, was named to the Big East All-Freshman Team and was selected 3 times to the All-Big East Team. Scoring over 1800 points at the University of Pittsburgh, I ranks #6 on Pitt’s All-Time scoring list.
22 Hoops trains in 2hr intervals and focuses on shooting, ball control, and agility. We focus on age groups from 12yrs old to professional basketball players. We train a maximum of 6 players per 2hr interval to ensure the player receives the necessary attention and focus they need.
